The American Society of Magazine Editors is upping the star power at its National Magazine awards, according to The New York Post. Now an evening event—it used to be a luncheon at the Waldorf—the May 9 ceremony at Jazz at Lincoln Center will feature Jazz's musical director Wynton Marsalis, who will play at the opening of the event. CNN anchor Anderson Cooper will be a presenter. The industry group is also trying to get Project Runway hostess Heidi Klum to present an award—no word yet on if she'll agree to appear.
