Javits Approval: One More Down, Two to Go

The Javits Operating Corporation, the group that oversees the Javits Center’s day-to-day operations, has approved the plans for the new Javits Center. The plans now await approval by the Empire State Development Corporation and the Javits Convention Development Corporation Board. The final approval has to come from the Public Authorities Control Board, which is made up of New York State senators and assemblymen appointed by Governor George Pataki, before construction can begin.
