Fox Searchlight’s official Oscar and Independent Spirit party in honor of Little Miss Sunshine, The Last King of Scotland, Notes on a Scandal, Thank You for Smoking, and Water, on Friday night at the Haven house, will feature a live performance of O by Cirque du Soleil—the group’s first off-stage private performance of that show.
And on Oscar night, People magazine and the gaming Maloof family will host the first celebrity blackjack tournament benefiting YouthAids. (They’re planning it as an annual event.) Celebs will play for $50,000 in prizes donated in their name to the organization. BWR is handling PR.
