Hotel Announced for the Financial District

We said there'd be more news about hospitality projects in the financial district, and yesterday we got wind of another one: Silverstein Properties has announced that Robert A.M. Stern Architects will design its new hotel and condo tower, 99 Church Street. The real estate group, the same company that developed 7 World Trade Center, is planning to begin demolition of the site's existing building this month, and to start construction in 2008; 99 Church Street is expected to be completed by early 2011. A restaurant is among the plans for the property.
