Bar Association to Bring 12,000 Attendees to 2017 Convention

NYC & Company announced today that the American Bar Association has decided to host its 2017 annual convention in New York. Expected to draw roughly 12,000 attendees, the seven-day August meeting will bring $34 million to the city, including 54,000 room nights. Opting not to take over the Javits Convention Center, the meeting will station its headquarters at the Hilton New York, with additional events and room blocks at the Marriott Marquis, Le Parker Meridien, Westin Times Square, and the Waldorf-Astoria (among others).

The city is currently preparing to host the ABA's 2008 meeting, which kicks off on August 7.
