If bonding over drinks or private screenings isn't enough to motivate a team, the Alley Pond Park Adventure Course offers a more physical form of teambuilding. Hidden away in the 655-acre Alley Pond Park in Queens, this is the only adventure ropes course in the city and the largest of its kind in the Northeast. Only a year old, the course is built specifically for corporate groups and consists of obstacles—including a climbing wall, balance platforms, and a zip line—all designed to challenge participants physically and intellectually. Operated by the Urban Park Rangers through the New York City Department of Parks & Recreation, these programs can be tailored to each group, depending on the objectives. The adventure course programs are available for groups as small as 10 people or as large as 70, and the fee includes a catered lunch.
