Legendary music club CBGB may be closed, but its walls and awning live on in the new Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Annex. Opening today for public previews and celebrating its official opening next Tuesday, December 2, the SoHo venue is a 25,000-square-foot outpost of the Cleveland-based music museum.
Dedicated to the birth and evolution of the music genre, the annex houses an array of memorabilia, including Bruce Springsteen’s 1957 Chevrolet, the iconic Jean-Paul Gaultier-designed bustier worn by Madonna during her Blonde Ambition world tour, and pieces of Hilly Krystal’s famed concert site. The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Annex will be available for events like cocktail receptions and seated dinners, as well as group tours. We'll have more details about the event spaces soon.
