* INCOMING *

1. UPFRONT APOLOGY: Among NYT ad columnist Stuart Elliot's highlights and lowlights of Upfront Week: "The presentation on Tuesday night by the Telemundo Communications Group, which began about an hour late, went on for 95 minutes and ended around 8:40. Dan Lovinger, executive vice president for advertising sales and integrated marketing, sent an apologetic e-mail to attendees on Thursday."

Speaking of the ad world: Execs from BBDO, Digitas, JWT, and other  agencies gathered at the American Museum of Natural History for the Clio Awards. Decked out for the theme "the golden age of advertising," the Phoenix Productions-produced event took on a more upscale look than last year's contemporary set up at Skylight SoHo, which felt a little like a cross between the Oscars and an Upfront Week presentation.

3. MORE MONEY TO EVENTBRITE: The San Fransisco-based ticketing start-up announced this week that it raised $50 million in venture capital. Known for helping organizers of smaller events sell tickets, The NYT says, "the company is looking to tackle ticketing for bigger events—and it is getting a large boost of liquid confidence from investors who think it stands a chance at stealing business from Ticketmaster, the industry giant."
