Fashion and celebrity photographer Patrick McMullan goes to parties every night, shooting for New York and other magazines. But on election night, he got to be the center of attention at a party celebrating an exhibit of his photos at the Tony Shafrazi Gallery on Wooster Street. (After all, McMullan would have a schedule conflict any evening, so why not election night?)
Caterer Serena Bass Inc. supplied the bar, which included the current chic party drink: mini champagne bottles, served with a straw.
While McMullan posed for photos, took photos and air-kissed the swirl of guests, we spotted Calvin Klein, cable queen Robin Byrd, New York's Maer Roshan, Paper's David Hershkovits, and lots of models and publicists checking out--or posing in front of--the exhibit, which coincides with the publication of two books of McMullan's work, Men's Show (Edition Stemmle) and Secrets of the Riviera (Welcome Rain Publishers). It was noisy and crowded, but we didn't hear much discussion of exit results.
Two hours after the gallery event, McMullan held an after-party at Centro-Fly, where revelers could watch the election results on giant TV screens.
