After almost 20 years of collecting classic cars and memorabilia, Edward and Joanne Dauer built a warehouse-like space in Sunrise to house the items they had acquired. You'll find everything from a Radio Flyer wagon to a pink '58 Buick at the Dauer Museum of Classic Cars (954.748.6271), a 30,000-square-foot space filled with antique cars, trucks, bicycles, signs and other items from years gone by. It looks like a Norman Rockwell painting come to life with old-fashioned stools, lots of antique signage and a building fa?ade complete with balconies. There's even a luncheonette area. Cars can be moved around to create plenty of open space and there is enough room behind the building to put up an 80- by 100-foot tent. The museum also has a state-of-the-art audio system. So whether you're looking for kitsch, nostalgia or just a cool space, the Dauer museum is a viable new option.
