Orlando-based restaurant chain Seasons 52 opened its first Washington-area location on Monday in North Bethesda. In the burgeoning Rockville Pike area, across from White Flint Mall, the seasonally inspired restaurant lends itself equally to meetings and private dining parties, with four separate areas for groups.
The 10,000-square-foot restaurant can seat 114 in its main dining room with views of the open kitchen. The adjacent piano bar has additional seating for 62, plus 29 seats at the circular bar, and features a centrally located piano for nightly performances by local musicians.
There are four private dining rooms accommodating 10 to 80 guests. Just inside the main entrance, the Carneros Room can seat 26 or accommodate 50 for receptions.
At the back of the main dining room, the Napa and Sonoma rooms are better suited for larger parties, as they can be used separately or as one space with the dividing pocket doors opened. Each room can seat about 24 or host 40 for receptions, or 80 guests when combined. Windows overlooking the main dining room can shaded with built-in drapes or opened to expose the activity inside the restaurant.
For smaller events, a chef’s table near the kitchen can seat 10 with curtains on three sides for privacy. With the exception of the chef’s table, each private room is equipped with audiovisual capabilities, including overhead projectors and retractable screens.
In keeping with the restaurant’s name, the menu changes seasonally and consists of fresh, and often local, ingredients. Additionally, all dishes have fewer than 475 calories. There’s also an on-site wine cellar with more than 100 selections.
