Bee2Bee Honey Collective, a marketplace for hyper-local honey from all over Houston and its suburbs, launched in March 2016. The honey batches are even identified down to the specific neighborhood from which they come. Planners can include Bee2Bee honey in gift bags or party favors, and labels can be customized with corporate logos. Proprietor Nicole Buergers also runs pollinator education sessions, backyard beekeeping tutorials, and honey-food pairings for groups.

The Greater Houston Transportation Company, also known as Yellow Cab Houston, partnered with zTrip in late 2016. Through a user-friendly interface, the zTrip app lets Houston visitors and residents select whether they want to reserve a traditional taxicab or black car service, either on-demand or for a scheduled date and time. The service differs from other on-demand transportation services in that there is no surge pricing, users can choose between a traditional taxi or a luxury vehicle, customer service representatives are available at any time, and all drivers are fully licensed and undergo F.B.I. background checks. Passengers can pay with cash or a credit card.

Houston local Kesha Chatman launched the Miles of Style fashion truck in June, bringing fashion to consumers’ front doors. The former on-air fashion contributor for ABC13 helps shoppers choose the perfect pieces from her inventory of locally made, affordable items. Planners can reserve the truck for events, and Chatman will curate a selection of apparel and accessories that will appeal to a specific group of guests.
