In October, Kimpton Hotels will unveil its newest boutique hotel with the opening of Hotel Palomar Arlington at Waterview, the company’s first ground-up property in the northern Virginia suburbs. Located alongside the Potomac River (and just over the Key Bridge) in Rosslyn’s Waterview Towers, the luxury lifestyle hotel will offer 154 modern guest rooms decorated in neutral colors and chocolate brown, Frette linens, and iPod docking stations. Twenty-four spa suites will have in-room elliptical machines and soak tubs.
Dining options will include northern Italian restaurant Domaso and a gourmet wine and cheese shop, Domasoteca, which will offer expert-led wine and cheese tastings. Both eateries will emphasize showcasing Virginia farm ingredients and wineries. Three meeting rooms are available for events, offering more than 3,200 square feet of space that can hold as many as 250. The Opus Boardroom features wall-to-wall windows and built-in multimedia capabilities.
