Daniel and Lorraine Guiteras, owners of the Globe Café & Bar in Coral Gables, have remodeled their private back lounge to create an environment as sophisticated as its clientele. The Black Room features five shades of custom-mixed black paints, three Swarovski crystal chandeliers, a mirror-and-glass bar, black velvet walls, blue velvet chaises, and oak floors, plus a Nexo sound system, plasma TV, and four Sharp Aquos TV monitors. The 1,000-square-foot space accommodates 60 for seated meals or 80 for a cocktail reception, and has a food and drinks menu separate from the main room's. —Vanessa Goyanes
