This week, PS 7's bartender Gina Chersevani and chef Peter Smith launched a summer and fall series of cocktail courses, which begin with a trip to a downtown farmers' market and end with the creation of seasonal drinks and snacks for pairing. At the market, groups learn what flavors work well together and how to choose the freshest vegetables, fruits, and herbs. With their edible finds in hand, the crowd heads to PS 7's (or another venue) for a hands-on cocktail class and cooking demonstration. A typical two-hour class for groups of 10 or more is $50 per person.
