NBC News & MSNBC White House Correspondents’ Dinner After-Party

NBC News and MSNBC brought its White House Correspondents’ Dinner after-party to the Organization of American States’ Art Museum of the Americas April 28 in Washington. A late-night treat from Occasions Caterers was cereal ice cream sandwiches. Other desserts on the menu were mini cake cones, mini housemade ice cream Drumstick-style cones, mini palmiers, and a duo of savory and sweet mini scones.

Ancolie, located in New York’s Greenwich Village, creates meals prepared in reusable glass jars including salads, desserts, and breakfast items like oatmeal. The fast-casual eatery also offers catering options. Pricing for a typical lunch with a large salad jar and chocolate bite starts at $16 (plus tax and delivery) per person. Items are served in reusable vessels or with compostable utensils, and all food scraps are sent to a community garden in the East Village.

Blue Plate is putting a unique twist on the traditional bread service for seated dinners. At each setting, the evening's menu is printed on a bread sleeve containing an individual baguette. A trio of butters—including flavors like garlic and herb, honey pecan, and goat’s milk—is placed on the table and served family style for everyone to share.

Hands poking out of a curtain served guests glasses of champagne at a “mystery bartender” station. Sequence created a “funky flavor” event design, which also included fur-covered bar fronts and walls wrapped with custom event collateral. The event’s furniture rentals, from Patina Rentals and Taylor Creative, had the brand’s muted color palette.
