The past several months in Silicon Alley haven't been all champagne wishes and caviar dreams, but that didn't stop Flute proprietor Herve Rousseau from opening a new location of his champagne bar in the dot-com-filled Flatiron district. The Art Deco-influenced space offers a distinct coziness, with rich blue and red fabrics and inviting seating arrangements. The main floor can accommodate 100, the "key club" in the basement can accommodate a private party of 30, and the upstairs Blue Room can fit as many as 100. The venue also has an extensive menu (outside catering is also allowed) and an impressive wine list with 150 different champagnes. For special events, Flute can be rented in sections or in its entirety, with prices ranging from about $30 to $60 per person, per hour.
