Built in the 19th century, the 1887 Townhouse is a single-family home on the Upper West Side that has been used for film and photo shoots and is now open for events and meetings. You can rent the entire house—6,000 square feet on six levels—including a small dining room that comfortably seats 10 (pictured), two living rooms, a 600-square-foot outdoor garden and patio, and three bedrooms that can be used as prep areas. The venue has original architectural details such as nine fireplaces, stained-glass windows, a skylight, and an oak-paneled butler’s pantry with a dumbwaiter as well as a mix of traditional and modern furniture that can be used as props (or removed as needed). The venue has a 200-amp box, an internal air shaft to run electric cable through, and high-speed wireless Internet access. Maximum capacity for the space is 50 people. —Anna Sekula
