De Otter Creators, a Netherlands-based marketing and creative agency, uses light to create immersive environments it calls B[eye]t (pronounced “Bite”). The company’s designers work with planners to develop audiovisual content, which can be static or moving, then project it onto custom-made tables. And here’s where it gets interesting: Using infrared cameras, B[eye]t allows attendees to interact with the projections—moving graphics around the table, or trading promotional materials between place settings. Overhead and wall projections can create an even more immersive effect. Standard tables seat 10 to 14 people, while banquet tables, which can double as a catwalk or stage, accommodate as many as 150. Pricing starts around $30,000, which covers elements like rentals, lighting, and decor.
