Since the late 1950s, Pink Jeep Tours has shuttled out-of-towners away from the Strip to explore Nevada's natural scenery or participate in teambuilding activities in a rugged setting. The company recently upgraded its transportation with a fleet of Tour Trekkers, all-terrain vehicles that can seat as many as 10 passengers. Each air-conditioned van has leather captain's chairs, DVD players, and foam-insulated walls for a quieter ride. Pink Jeep has 17 Tour Trekkers to accommodate large and small groups.
In April, the company launched the Grand Canyon Classic Deluxe tour, the only tour of Quartermaster Point, one of the most remote areas at Grand Canyon West. The trip includes stops at Hoover Dam, Lake Mead, the desert community of Dolan Springs, and Joshua Tree Forest, then continues to the Grand Canyon’s West Rim and Quartermaster Point, which offers panoramic views of the Colorado River. This full-day tour lasts about nine hours and starts at $224 per person.
