Girl power and style were abundant at a Warner Brothers' hospitality event designed to promote the upcoming Powerpuff Girls movie to textile industry reps in town for New York Home Textiles week. The trade show brings together buyers, manufacturers and designers to view branded patterns for bed, bath, linen and home accessories.
To show off the style of the characters, Eventstyle and Maverick Communications transformed the Lafayette ballroom of the Puck Building to feel like a part of the popular kid's cartoon, starting with a gated entrance to the girls' hometown of Townsville surrounded by faux grass and inflatable tulips.
Three distinct areas were created for each of the movie's superheroes---Blossom, Bubbles and Buttercup--in their signature colors of red, blue and green, with inflatable beds, chairs and pillows. Each area had a bar draped in colored fabric and lit with star-shaped gobos. Daisy, star and flower gobos were projected on the walls around the space to represent each girl's superhero symbol.
Another bar area represented the laboratory where cartoon villain Mojo Jojo mixes up his lethal potions. An animated image of Mojo Jojo was projected on fabric above the bar. Guests were offered drinks from lab coat-clad bartenders working behind steel lab tables.
