A number of tables at Diffa's Dining by Design event this week employed paint chips to decorative effect: fashioning the colorful sheets into wallpaper, name cards, napkin rings, and faux floral arrangements. For sponsor Benjamin Moore, David Stark used thousands of paint swatches to give his house-like setting colorful shingles and a cloud-filled sky backdrop. At the table, swatches became party horns and placecards.
