The Branding Factory, an 80,000-square-foot former branding and textile printing factory just north of Bloorcourt now filled with arts, entertainment, and design professionals, is home to a stylish new design workshop and event space. Re:Style Studio is a flexible, all-white space that can be booked for group design classes, food-focused gatherings, or other private events.
The venue is the brainchild of owner Andrea Ford, an interiors stylist and furniture designer. Ford converted the raw, industrial space into a finished studio where she designs and hosts classes and workshops on topics like furniture design, re-upholstery, and D.I.Y. wedding prep. Groups can book the studio for a cooking class or reception, and can also book private workshops.
The light-filled, open room is comprised of white-topped workshop-style sawhorse tables, as well as a selection of Ford's rebuilt antique furniture. There is a reception area, and half the studio is taken up by a full gourmet kitchen designed to host cooking classes, pop-up dinner parties, and tastings. The kitchen is filled with sleek designer appliances including a double-zone wall oven, French door fridge, and a large stovetop.
The workshop tables seat 40, and can be replaced by larger tables to seat up to 60. The space can hold 125 for receptions, and the garage door entrance allows for easy access, if additional setup items are needed for events. Re:Style is available for private events whenever classes are not scheduled; Fridays are always left open for events but there is availability other days of the week as well.
