VENUE: Meatpacking District's Newest Restaurant

E843disc 01 0402 Venue Menu 1 152
It's time to rename the meatpacking district the restaurant-packing district. The latest addition to New York's trendiest area, Menu sits in the former space of Le Gans on the corner of Gansevoort and Greenwich, a stone's throw from Chinghalle, Macelleria and Pastis. The cozy, intimate restaurant eschews the bright colors and dark lighting of some of its neighboring bars and restaurants with its pastel pink banquettes and exposed brick. The space can accommodate 80 for a sit-down dinner, or as many as 150 for a reception. For a weeknight event with cocktails and chef Julian Clauss-Ehlers' hors d'oeuvres, prices start at $65 per guest for four hours.
