Despite the considerable amount of controversy surrounding Donald Trump's hotel-condo project in SoHo (New York magazine chronicles the squabbles in this week's issue), the developers have announced that the property will be home to the first New York outpost of Quattro Gastronomia Italiana, a popular Italian restaurant in South Beach, Florida. The 3,800-square-foot eatery, designed by Studio A Design, will offer 150 seats and a 1,200-square-foot mezzanine with two private dining rooms.
Managed by KNR Restaurant Group, Quattro will serve a Northern Italian menu—including dishes such as sea bass baked in a salt crust and braised veal with white martini vermouth and glazed pearl onions—from twin chefs Nicola and Fabrizio Carro. The restaurant will open in time for the spring 2009 opening of Trump SoHo Hotel Condominium.
