Employees of advertising firm DDB Canada were all dressed up with somewhere to go when they attended the company's annual holiday party, which was a masquerade ball.
Partygoers at the Great Hall in the city's west end enjoyed an evening of fine cocktails and cuisine in an elegant atmosphere. Event planner and caterer Opulence Catering and Events decked out the dining hall in shimmering red organza linens from Chair D?cor and seasonal evergreen centrepieces in tall glass containers adorned with Earthworks' sequined ball masks.
A strolling violinist entertained guests during the cocktail reception, where hors d'oeuvres such as wild rice pancakes topped with smoked duck and wild blueberry aioli and an orange segment, cheese and grape truffles, and pear and gorgonzola focaccia were served.
The dinner began with a mixed baby green salad with burgundy poached pear, crumbled Stilton, and champagne vinaigrette. The entree was turkey breast stuffed with maple sausage and fresh herbs with an orange cranberry glaze, alongside grilled polenta and French green bean bundles and grilled peppers.
Homemade gnocchi and cheese was served at midnight.
