This week's roundup includes vampire teeth as napkin rings at Target's ghoulish event in New York, white snakes guarding a $1 bottle of nail polish in Los Angeles, a giant cake serving as a dessert display in Boston, and flowers that looked like brains at a zombie-theme bash at New York Comic-Con.

To fete the launch of its Halloween wig collection by designer Chris March, Target staged its own version of a monster's ball on September 26 at the Angel Orensanz Foundation for the Arts in New York. Framed silhouettes wearing the different wigs in the eight-piece collection overlooked the party from the second level mezzanine. The fabricated "portraits" also displayed the event's official hashtag.

White snakes slithered around black diamonds at a rather unusual bash in Los Angeles. To launch its new $1 million bottle of nail polish—yes, $1 million—Azature Jewelry hosted the “Black Diamond Affair” at Sunset Tower Hotel October 8. The pricey nail lacquer is infused with 98 carats of white diamonds and one black diamond. To underscore its rare, exotic nature at the event, the bottle was placed behind glass and guarded by the serpents. The event was produced by EFG and B. Levine Productions.

A red-carpet event for The Walking Dead's Season 4 premiere took place at AMC Universal CityWalk Cinemas earlier this month; an after-party took place at Universal Studios Hollywood’s Halloween Horror Nights Maze, “Walking Dead: No Safe Haven." Universal Studios Hollywood special events director Koranda Banks transformed the studio's back-lot space into a post-apocalyptic town that was overrun with zombies, who posed for photo ops with guests.

And the zombie theme continues. Last Friday night, a private party associated with New York Comic Con celebrated the 10-year anniversary of the comic book series The Walking Dead. Held at Pillar37, the event was spruced up with coxcomb flowers that look like—well—bloody brains.

The Boston Children's Museum hosted its 100th anniversary gala on October 5, and it celebrated the big event with an appropriately sized dessert display. The catering team at the Intercontinental Boston topped a giant prop cake with nostalgic desserts such as mini whoopie pies, mini Twinkies, cake pops, and chocolate-dipped strawberries. The "cake" was designed by Rafanelli Events.

At each place setting, plastic vampire teeth stood in for napkin rings. Guests dined on warm burrata and balsamic-braised short ribs, followed by mini cheesecakes paired with gummy worms and candy eyeballs for dessert.

Bonaventure Resort & Spa in Weston, Florida, has a new teambuilding offering called Yoga on the Green. Held on its championship golf course, the 90-minute vinyasa yoga class can be modified for different skill levels. After the activity, guests can sip freshly squeezed juices and smoothies and nibble on healthy snacks.

A team of Miami nightlife curators had a successful debut with the III Points Festival October 3 to 5 in the Wynwood arts district. Festival sponsor Samsung hosted the Next Big Thing Artists Dinner catered by up-and-coming foodie destination Shikany. A Samsung video playlist complemented each course.

At a recent women's health fund-raiser in South Florida, Fashion Lounge sponsor Crystal4U by Cynthia Rodriguez created a display for the designer's collection of custom embellished shoes, accessories, and handbags. Guests could also use it as a photo backdrop.
