This week's roundup includes a floral elevator photo booth at the Saks Fifth Avenue flagship reopening in New York; dessert trays held by helium balloons at the Klarna "Smoooth Sessions" event in New York; a hanging gold record installation at Delta Air Lines' pre-Grammy party in Los Angeles; and entertainment inspired by a Renaissance masquerade ball at the Recording Academy's official Grammy after-party in Los Angeles.

The reopening of the renovated Saks Fifth Avenue flagship store in New York took place earlier this month. The event, which was produced by Endeavor Global Marketing, featured an elevator that was transformed into a floral photo booth. Orchids and hydrangeas provided by Boho Blossoms decorated the interior of the elevator.

The opening reception for “Frida Kahlo: Appearances Can Be Deceiving” at the Brooklyn Museum took place February 6. An event photo op incorporated a hedge wall decorated with floral letters spelling “Frida,” designed by FleursBella. Guests included Thelma Golden, the director and chief curator of the Studio Museum in Harlem.

Swedish banking company Klarna held its first U.S. event on January 31 at the Michelson Studio in New York. The event, which was produced and designed by Sequence Events, had a photo booth where guests could wear a shaggy brown coat and stand in front of a fan, mimicking a Klarna ad starring an Afghan dog. The booth, from Smilebooth, printed lenticular photos and offered videos for social sharing. Oversize props came from 11th Street Workshop.

Pinch Food Design catered the event. Stations included dessert trays attached to oversize helium balloons. Catering staff guided the balloons through the crowd.

Colgate held an event to promote the Colgate Total SF toothpaste on January 31 at Center415 in New York. Produced by BMF, the event featured stations where scientists demonstrated different stages of creating the toothpaste.

The Recording Academy's official after-party took place at the Los Angeles Convention Center on February 10. Designed and produced by the Recording Academy and Angel City Designs, the event took on a European, modern masquerade ball theme that evolved throughout the night. On-theme performers from E Plus Productions entertained the crowd, and ATK handled audio production.

On February 7, Delta Air Lines took over the Mondrian in West Hollywood for a pre-Grammy party designed and produced by MKG. Guests entered the celebration through an installation of hanging gold records.

One of the weekend's buzziest events was Roc Nation's annual brunch, held on February 9 at a private estate. Presented in conjunction with Puma, American Express, and Barclays Center, the event drew a who's-who of the music industry, including Beyoncé, Jay-Z, Diddy, DJ Khaled, Usher, and many more. The entryway featured green hedges and cascading yellow flowers punctuated by framed images of previous brunch attendees. The gathering was designed and produced by SO Events, while Celio's Design handled florals, Bright Event Rentals handled rentals, and Kitchen for Exploring Foods provided catering.

Dave’s Killer Bread held a prison-theme restaurant pop-up January 28 to February 10 in Toronto. The pop-up, which aimed to educate the public about ex-offenders, featured a station where attendees could pick up prison-style phones to listen to the stories of former inmates. Mosaic Experiential Marketing produced the pop-up, which also raised money for two charities that give ex-offenders and at-risk communities a second chance.Â
