Balloon sculptor Irina Patterson's latest creations use 50 to 100 latex balloons to form lifelike caricatures of a person or a celebrity—definitely not the typical balloon poodle or cat found at kids' parties. Her company, Balloon Arts by Irina, debuted the sculptures this month. Starting at $100, they can be created as gifts to present to honorees or C.E.O.s during ceremonies, or as centerpieces for an event. Patterson works from pictures of the person to sculpt their likeness and can include accessories and props associated with the subject as well.
