Stuffing bags full of goodies in October is known to be a thrill, but it's typically discouraged for the post-adolescent set. Not so at YMI Jeanswear's fashion show and party, which gave adult guests their own bag-stuffing opportunities—with pricier loot than candy. About 1,000 guests packed Boulevard3's outdoor space on Tuesday for a party at which the denim brand and its sponsors (including Salon Maxime and Hpnotiq) proffered their wares from nine cabanas flanking the venue's fountain. Get Flipped snapped guests' mugs at its lenticular photo booth, and Clothes Off Our Backs reps promoted the charity at another cabana."This event is a big deal for us—we really entertain our buyers and show all of our spring products at the same time," said YMI Jeanswear International marketing director Dina De Fazio, who oversaw the event. It was the first event for which Primero Media (former BNC-er Brooke Primero's new company) handled PR.
Around 10 p.m., guests moved inside for a standing-room fashion show hosted by actress Brittany Snow on an elevated platform that featured the brand's casual spring 2008 line. The event fell during Young Contemporary Market Week, a week before L.A. Fashion Week at Smashbox Studios. It was the fourth biannual event for YMI.
