This Week: Cocktails at JFK, Foodies in Brooklyn

Today, the Celebrate Brooklyn summer concert series kicks off with a public performance by Ricki Lee Jones in Prospect Park's band shell, with The Catering Company feeding gala guests. At Gotham Hall, Diffa holds its annual Viva Glam benefit, this year with a "Casino Veneziano" theme. At Skylight, fashion, photography, and graphic design directory Le Book celebrates its 25th anniversary, with food by Serena Bass Catering.

Thursday, surf- and skate-wear company Billabong celebrates its Times Square store opening. Shiraz NYC Inc. is catering and producing the event. The Maritime Hotel is the setting for an after-party. Out at John F. Kennedy International Airport, Swarovski and Bombay Sapphire join forces for an event surrounding the unveiling of designer Yves Behar's "Voyage" sculpture. Magazine Publishers of America honors magazine advertising with its Kelly awards at the Grand Hyatt. And in Dumbo's Tobacco Warehouse site in Empire-Fulton State Park, Share Our Strength holds the first Brooklyn version of its Taste of the Nation culinary fund-raiser.

Friday, the New York Asian Film Festival begins, with screenings at Anthology Film Archives. The festival continues through June 30, with film presentations starting on June 24 at the ImaginAsian theater. (Films at Anthology Film Archives end June 26.)

On Sunday—Father's Day—Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS gets risqué with its Broadway Bares benefit performance at Roseland. And Gay Pride Week commences with the annual rally in Bryant Park.

Monday, the New York chapter of the Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International's Frank W. Berkman Tourism Achievement award dinner recognizes contributions to the tourism industry with a black-tie event at the Rainbow Room. And Tuesday, the New York metropolitan chapter of the International Special Events Society's holds its 1970's-theme Feelin' Groovy gala and presents its Big Apple awards at the United Nations Delegates Dining Room. At the Javits Center, the Licensing International trade show begins. The expo comes to a close next Thursday.
