Jeanie Torchio Relies on Conference Inc.

Jeanie Torchio is the senior regional events specialist for the ALSAC/St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. She plans and oversees five fund-raising events a year in the mid-Atlantic region.

Event Management: "Conference Incorporated is the backbone of our Gourmet Gala, our largest Washington, D.C., fund-raiser. We have worked with owner Donna Tschiffely since the gala’s inception [nine years ago], and she continues to amaze us with her event-management talents. In the past year, the gala doubled in size, and Donna was right there to make sure that the event was not only the largest but also the most successful to date."Photography: "Sean McCormick is an amazing and versatile photographer. We called him in at the 11th hour to shoot the Gourmet Gala, and he went the extra mile to make sure we captured the entire event on film. Sean’s client list includes well-known corporations such as American Airlines, Discovery Communications, and Pepsi, and his talents are not limited to places and products—his people shots capture the true essence of the person, revealing their mood and emotions."

Printing: "Master Print is our go-to printer, because they always come through for us. We created several print elements for the gala this year, many of which had tight turnarounds. The staff at Master Prints remained flexible as we pushed up delivery dates and negotiated costs."

Venue: "You have to see the National Building Museum in person to really appreciate what a fantastic, gorgeous venue it is. With indoor columns that are eight feet in diameter and architectural detail throughout the building, the museum is the perfect backdrop for any event."
