Multilevel Venue Offers Dining and Nightclub

For chic, sophisticated gatherings in the King Street West neighborhood, Hingson Entertainment Inc. opened Eight Restolounge and Eight Below in mid-January. On the main floor, Eight Restolounge features an 84-seat dining room with an open kitchen, hardwood floors, cream-coloured chairs, and exposed brick walls. The adjacent Victorian-style lounge has a separate entrance, a fireplace, club-style seating, and two private rooms that each seat 12. The two spaces have a combined reception capacity of 400. Downstairs, Eight Below is a nightclub that can accommodate 450 guests; a patio can hold 45, and plans include a second patio for receptions with a capacity of 250. Both levels have audiovisual capability, and the venue has an in-house DJ service. For events requiring catering, the restaurant offers seasonal menus. The cost for evening rentals on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays starts at $500 for the lounge and $1,000 for Eight Below; restaurant rental costs vary with the amount spent on food and drink.—Robyn Small
