Morton's Adds a Business-Friendly Bar

The Georgetown outlet of Morton's, the Steakhouse is opening its new Bar 12-21 tomorrow, which offers a better-lit and more business-friendly spot for entertaining. The 45-seat venue has been under construction for much of the summer, undergoing a renovation that includes new, lighter-hued upholstery, softer fixtures, and well-spaced tables.

Named after the first Morton's, which opened on December 21, 1978, the 900-square-foot venue (in the space of the previous bar) aims to feel like a private club with a large plasma TV hanging over the bar and a menu of hefty bar bites like petite filet mignon sandwiches and mini cheeseburgers. Also on tap: more than 50 specialty martinis at the bar.
