The new Beverly Hills shop Fulfilled, which opened in November, sells delicately handcrafted, updated interpretations of traditional Japanese pastries, known as imagawayaki. Modernized versions of the pancakelike pastries are prepared on Japanese hot plates, served warm and fresh in sweet and savory flavors like banana Nutella, traditional azuki bean, and gourmet chicken apple sausage.

For events, the folks at Fulfilled can bring a portable propane tank to set up at any location to create the treats. Guests can select their flavors and watch as staffers prepare their pastries to order as they wait. Treats can also be plated for sit-down meals, or pre-prepared and heated in an oven (at sites where propane is not allowed), or planners can order an assortment and reheat them for in-office dining. Prices start at about $20 per guest, with a minimum of 15 people.
