Absolute Tent and Event Services

Absolute Tent and Event Services is the first company in Toronto to offer the Stretch Tent. Available for rent or purchase, the waterproof tent can be stretched and wrapped around trees, structures, or rocks. Absolute has three sizes (20-by-30, 30-by-30, or 40-by-40 feet) of the tent and will install it onsite.

Karl’s Event Services now has a patent-pending temporary structure called the Mirage Series, which incorporates a hard material facade as well as glass and vinyl. The series can be used for temporary events like showrooms, retail spaces, and fashion shows, and was most recently seen during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York.

Raj Tents in Los Angeles and San Leandro, California, launched its Beach Chic line for outdoor events last year. The tents, built around the frames of the company’s popular Pergola and Pavilion tents, come with a sea-spray or turquoise exterior and blue wave valance. Additional decor options include crystal chandeliers, mirrors, and hand-carved furniture for lounge settings.

The clear-span tent made of vinyl and aluminum is a bespoke structure modified from standard rental-tent technology. The plywood floor of the 250,000-square-foot venue featured a painted top that can be reused in future years. There were 1,900 house lights on-site and the entire structure was temperature- and humidity-controlled with a full, water-chilled HVAC system running on biodiesel-powered generators.

Karl’s Event Services (917.449.3844, karls.com) in Belleville, New Jersey, recently developed a custom mezzanine-level option to be incorporated into clearspan structures, intended for extra seating niches or V.I.P. areas.

A 150-foot-long shade structure had 12 custom sails meant to keep guests cool against the summer sun. In anticipation of the heat, Pandora also secured an offsite check-in area at the JW Marriott to keep fans out of the elements and maintain crowd control.
