
On September 7, politicians, philanthropists, and business executives gathered at Cipriani on Wall Street in New York to honor the fallen and raise money to support the memorial and museum. The dining tablescape featured a mesmerizing hologram prism, which displayed the Survivor Tree through the four seasons (the charred trunk of a Callery pear tree, which became known as the “Survivor Tree,” was pulled from the rubble of the World Trade Center site after the attacks and remains alive on the grounds today). The centerpiece was created by Gramercy Tech. 360 Design Events handled the styling, decor, and video art direction for the event.

The Television Academy of Arts & Science hosted two Creative Arts Balls on September 10 and 11 and the Governors Ball on September 18 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. Produced by Cheryl Cecchetto of Sequoia Productions, the event had a "Nature's Elegance" theme that featured a rustic, organic vibe that showcased more than 50,000 hydrangeas, 80,000 roses, and 20,000 succulents.

Entertainment Weekly hosted its annual pre-Emmy party on September 16 at Nightingale Plaza in Los Angeles. Event Eleven produced the event, which included a slow-motion video booth with vintage television sets as a backdrop.

Cottonelle hosted a beauty lounge for celebrities, media, and influencers during New York Fashion Week on September 8 and 9 at Openhouse in SoHo. The event had a branded wall created with rolls of toilet paper, which was designed by BMF Media Group.

The sixth annual Content Marketing World took place September 6 to 9 at the Huntington Convention Center of Cleveland. Foregoing a traditional panel format, organizers created a replica of the set from the game show Hollywood Squares to house two sessions: one featuring nine of the conference’s keynote speakers and another with instructors from the Content Marketing University as game participants. Tim Washer, creative director for Cisco and a comedy writer, served as host, asking participants questions related to content marketing.

The fourth annual Taste Talks Brooklyn food-and-drink festival took place at the Wythe Hotel and surrounding venues on Saturday and Sunday. The event featured a branded Kellogg's cereal bar that was created by Decco by Party Up Productions.

At the All Star BBQ at East River State Park on September 11, Aberlour whiskey served festivalgoers custom cocktails from a branded bar designed by its agency. The bar had doors reminiscent of the brand's distillery in Scotland.

The pre-premiere party for Snowden, which was sponsored by Nespresso and Audi, took place September 9 at the rooftop pool bar of Lavelle. The Mint Agency built a structure entirely of Nespresso pods that doubled as a step-and-repeat.

Disney-Pixar hosted the U.S. premiere for Finding Dory at El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood on June 8. The all-ages party shared a blue carpet with the arrivals line, which featured sand art for an on-theme, festive tie-in.

Columbia Pictures' Sausage Party premiered on August 9 at the Regency Village Theatre in Los Angeles. The event had on-theme grocery store-style decor.













The inaugural Future of Storytelling Festival took place October 7 to 9 at the Africa Center in New York. The event featured more than 70 interactive exhibits that showcased different types of immersive storytelling. The festival's visuals and props included nods to storytelling history, including typewriters, instruments, and even Melcher’s own Macintosh collection.

Inspired by minimalist decor and clean lines, organizers of the seventh annual Luminato Festival hired Toronto architecture firm Partisans to custom design futuristic centerpieces for the opening gala, which was held at the Hearn Generating Station in June.



The event, which took place on May 3 at the IAC building in New York and honored more than 40 artists whose works are represented in the Tate’s permanent collection, featured decor and architectural centerpieces by David Stark that were inspired by the sharp geometry and twisting shape of the Tate Modern’s new building, which was soon to open.

For this year’s annual benefit, which took place June 1, the Museum of Modern Art’s lobby and atrium area were once again transformed into a chic garden party. Drum-shaped chandeliers covered in greenery hung above the dining space, which was outfitted with primarily gray furnishings.
