
#2 Fashion & Retail Event (up from #3)
The event co-sponsored by the City of Beverly Hills and the Rodeo Drive Committee honors big names in fashion. It happens either once or twice annually, with last year seeing events in February and November, honoring The Great Gatsby costume designer Catherine Martin and Burberry, respectively. Although organizers have yet to announce the date, the event is expected to take place this year. Next: Fall 2015

#3 Fashion & Retail Event (up from #5)
Every year, the black-tie gala presents what is billed as Los Angeles’s largest fashion runway show with more than 70 professional models in more than 175 designs. Approximately 800 guests attend, raising about $1 million for student scholarships. Next: May 2, 2015

#4 Fashion & Retail Event (up from #6)
Every year, the event draws about 10,000 people over the course of a three-day program that features designs from graduating students of the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising. The black-tie Debut Runway Show & Gala is the centerpiece event and raises money for the school’s scholarship foundation. Next: March 2016
