One-year-old, Southern California-based Paper Girl creates stylish, colorful press kits that are sure to stand out from the stack of standard kits that clutter editors' desks. Owner Vivian Ip designs the eye-catching kits using materials like lace, sequins, vinyl, Plexiglas and beads, and wraps them in colored ribbons or soft fabric pouches. Prices start at $1,000 for kit design, and the cost per piece depends on complexity and materials. A limited selection of custom paper products will be available on the Internet (www.paper-girl.com) through Paper Girl's new online ordering system, launching this summer.
