VENUE: OLA Opens in Merrick Park

Those looking to plan an event in the Coral Gables area now have a new option—OLA Steak. Chef Douglas Rodriguez, formerly of New York's Patria and creator of OLA Miami, has put his Nuevo Latino spin on the brand-new steak house, located in the Merrick Park mall. Open for barely a week, the 8,500-square-foot restaurant offers an ample menu, featuring organic Uruguayan wet aged beef and 21-day-aged Black Angus, along with numerous ceviches, chimichurris, and more. The chef will customize menus for groups. The space is decorated in browns and blues, with an outdoor terrace ideal for receptions.
