Business partners (and sisters) Sophie LaMontagne and Katherine Kallini operate the recently opened Georgetown Cupcake, which offers sweet concoctions ranging from honey yogurt with a citrus glaze to the popular red velvet with vanilla cream-cheese frosting. The shop makes 24 varieties in all. For catering, the sisters can customize their treats—with a company logo in sugary fondant, for example—at the rate of $29 per dozen, with special pricing for orders of more than 500. Delivery is not yet available but is planned for the coming months.
