You Voted for Democrats—for Set Design, at Least

While everyone else was busy last week debating Sarah Palin's job viability, we asked you to weigh in on another question: What did you think of the stages at the political conventions? The response to the first incarnation of our new Quick Poll feature was overwelmingly to the left, with 87 percent voting for sets at the Democratic National Convention as the most effective. Barack Obama's use of two different locations with different designs certainly helped his party's showing, but the single Republican stage still got far less than a third of votes: Only 13 percent of respondents chose the giant screen that stood behind John McCain.
