With a "brilliant" theme inspired by British Garden Design, the Philadelphia Flower Show took place at the Pennsylvania Convention Center March 2 to 10. In the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society's central exhibit, there was a vertical garden filled with different types of kale and collards. The leafy wall served as a demonstration of how urban gardeners can use forward-thinking techniques to produce food in small spaces; it also highlighted the society's City Harvest program, which supports community gardeners who raise fresh produce. The area also held a reflecting pool, a bright sculpture of farming tools, and model livestock including goats and sheep.
