Thom Yorke didn't make it to this jam-packed MTV Video Music Awards after-party, but the Radiohead front man's image—on Blender’s September cover—was captured in two giant Grey Goose glaciers by Ice Art. Andrea Parr, associate marketing director for Blender, and event producers from Supermarket Media transformed the bilevel, neo-Zen nightspot Tao into a temple of sin as hired heavenly bodies danced under the giant Buddha at center stage, and blown-up Blender covers from Creative Graphic Services decked the walls.
The much-hyped DJ sensation Junior Senior spun under a projection of Blender's logo as the Donnas—and was that Anthony Michael Hall?—boogied. Salvation for stiletto-afflicted disco divas came in the form of Havana flip-flops, one of many goodies stashed in an overflowing gift bag courtesy of Guess, TiGi, Tourneau, Tony & Tina cosmetics and Altoids, among others.
