Event professionals, fashion mavens, and other design types mingled at the Pacific Design Center at the opening of Youngsong Martin’s new Wildflower Linen showroom in West Hollywood. While some guests looked over the specialty linens that have graced the tabletops at Hollywood events like HBO’s Golden Globes party, others mingled in the second-floor atrium, just outside the new store.
The bright pastel and beaded Wildflower linens appeared in unexpected places: They covered the ottomans from Cort Event Furnishings, and adorned the bars designed by Haute Bar Wear. Delicate pink linen cocktail napkins—bejeweled with sparkly rhinestone W’s—were almost too pretty to use. Even the models from Zoe Productions flitting about the venue were draped in togas and dresses made of Wildflower linen. Zoe also provided the music for the evening: an acoustic guitarist who entertained the crowd with mellow, relaxing tunes.
Good Gracious Events catered gourmet snacks like mozzarella tomato kabobs, Asian peanut noodles, and mushroom risotto—which dangled from the ceiling, in linen-covered trays.
