Longtime competitors Reef Promotional Staffing Inc. and Moxie Promotions Inc. are merging to form a large-scale event promotion and staffing company. "After years of competing with each other, we realized we could serve our clients better by joining forces," Reef president Shereef Shiaty said in a press release set to go out on Monday. (We received an advance copy today.) "Moxie shares our commitment to elevating the promotional staffing industry and bringing brands to life through great experiential marketing."
The two companies—set to move into a King Street West office on April 1—will share their client lists, which include Rogers Wireless, Coca Cola Ltd., L'Oréal Professional, and Coors Light Maxim. "Promotional marketing is so much more than the stereotype of booth babes in bikinis, and Reef shares our vision for top-notch service and creative solutions," said Kirstin Rajala, president of Moxie Promotions. The merged company will keep Reef Promotional Staffing as its name.
