BOSTON: Executive chef Brian Poe of Poe's Kitchen at the Rattlesnake is preparing catering packages for those hosting Super Bowl parties this weekend. Available for pickup through Sunday, the packages include build-your-own tacos, nachos, and wings kits that can be customized for different group sizes.
CHICAGO: The Harris Theater's board of trustees will host a cocktail reception to celebrate the opening of the Hamburg Ballet on Friday. The evening's performance is the Midwest premiere of Nijinsky.
LAS VEGAS: Drai’s After Hours will celebrate one last bash at Bill’s Gamblin’ Hall & Saloon February 3 before the hotel closes for renovation. In 2014, Drai Management Group will introduce a new concept, Drai’s Beach Club, in the renovated boutique hotel that will occupy the former Bill’s Gamblin’ Hall & Saloon space. The rooftop venue will encompass 65,000 square feet, offering panoramic views of the Las Vegas Strip as well as a pool, dayclub/nightclub, and concert space.
The first Oscar Roadtrip will kick off Monday in New York City, offering fans in cities across the United States a chance to hold an actual Oscar statuette before it arrives on the red carpet for the 85th Academy Awards.
Hard Rock Hotel & Casino donated 500 pounds of food collected during Mark OToole’s holiday shows at Vinyl, equaling about 400 meals, to Three Square Food Bank. OToole had asked fans to contribute non-perishable food and everyday necessities during his December performances.
LOS ANGELES: Vanguard, the newest addition to SBE’s nightlife portfolio, reopens February 7 with Grammy-winning artist Avicci headlining the evening. The 20,000-square-foot venue has four distinct areas: the main room, the Living Room lounge downstairs, an outdoor patio with cabanas, and a V.I.P. lounge.

ORLANDO: The touring exhibit "Our Body: The Universe Within" is on display through June at the CSI: The Experience building on International Drive.
TORONTO: The Loose Moose bar will reopen in early February with a renovated interior and new food and drink menus. McMillan Design created the interiors, which will feature found objects, vintage signs, and quirky reclaimed materials. The new space will feature a bar with two peninsulas, and seating will include large communal tables with mismatched chairs as well as banquettes of vintage theatre seats. TV screens have been replaced and reoriented, shifting the focus from dedicated game-watching to keeping an eye on the game while chatting with friends.
WASHINGTON: The Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center is hosting the Washington D.C. International Wine & Food Festival February 5 to 9. Events include a sommelier showdown, a post-event lounge each night, and a "Last Sipper."
The Smithsonian’s National Zoo’s fifth annual Woo at the Zoo is Febuary 9. The Valentine's Day-timed event offers the opportunity to learn about animal mating, dating, and reproductive habits in an honest and humorous forum at the Zoo’s Visitor Center auditorium.
