
The N.B.A. House presented by BBVA Compass at the Skylight at Moynihan Station allowed fans to take part in a range of basketball challenges on a half-court specifically built for the space. A lineup of N.B.A. players and legends also made appearances throughout the week.

Fans could download the N.B.A. All-Star NYC app to help them navigate all the festivities. It included event schedules, ticket information, directions with maps, and public transportation info, plus venue details and seating charts.

Visitors, including N.B.A. star Mason Plumlee of the Brooklyn Nets, could interact with technology at the American Express Pivot experience. Plumlee is one of four players featured in the video installation, which was created using 50 GoPro cameras at 24 different angles to capture the movies. The activation also includes a film on each player's personal journey to get to the All-Star Game.

At the N.B.A. House at Moynihan Station, Tony Schubert of Event Eleven and Taj Sullivan, vice president of brand marketing and communications for PMK-BNC, created a bright lounge area for fans and players to interact with Samsung devices. Sleek, colorful lighting by Bentley Meeker complemented the high-tech gadgets set up by Blue Water Technology and neutral fabrication by Scenicorp.

Nearly 10 million LEDs on 876 screens covered the floor and walls of the 1,200-square-foot space at “Pearl Pavilion” in Penn Plaza for Nike's "the Last Shot” installation. A step-by-step guide appeared on the floor to ensure accuracy, and a live announcer provided customized play-by-play for the guests.

AKQA worked with production company Stardust to shoot "the Last Shot” crowd scenes, which featured 250 extras sporting '80s, '90s, and present-day fashions, along with custom audio such as “boos,” to personalize each guest’s experience. Fans could then share the one-of-a-kind video and images on social media.

As part of the Jordan experience, visitors could snap a selfie in custom photo booths, which overlaid their images with the phrase, “I’m not Michael, I am Jordan.”

Puma relaunched its gold Walt “Clyde” Frazier sneakers at 40z & Waffles, a brunch series that originated in Los Angeles and includes live music and drinks ranging from mimosas to 40-ounce beers. Chef Jerome Brown served the celebrity guests red velvet waffles drizzled with D’usse cognac-infused syrup and doughnuts by Sweet Dreams Mini Donuts at the daytime event, which was held at 404 NYC on Saturday.

During the N.B.A. All-Star All-Style presented by Samsung Galaxy special, N.B.A. analysts Kenny Smith and Charles Barkley and the other judges at the Hammerstein Ballroom checked out the fashions on players, including Chandler Parsons of the Dallas Mavericks and J. R. Smith of the Cleveland Cavaliers. Smith was crowned the winner, taking home a diamond bow tie and bragging rights as the league’s best dressed.

Miami Heat’s Dwyane Wade hosted his eighth annual All-Star Bowling Classic in New York at Bowlmor Times Square on Saturday. The event benefitted Game Changer, the integrated sports program created by the Sandals Foundation and Wade’s World Foundation that assists youth in underserved communities. The fund-raiser featured bowling teams led by celebrities, including Gabrielle Union, Katie Couric, and Jerry Seinfeld.

To pay homage to the visiting players, Barclays Center and Levy Restaurants, the venue’s food and beverage partner, launched the first-ever All-Star Taste food program. The menu featured classic dishes inspired by N.B.A. cities, as well as those served at arenas around the league, such as the Chicago Bulls' Mad House Burger topped with a Polish sausage, caramelized onions, and American cheese and served on a pretzel roll (pictured); Los Angeles Lakers' fish tacos with beer-battered cod, cilantro coleslaw, and pico de gallo; and Ignite Bites from the Phoenix Suns—spicy habanero popcorn chicken bites served with buttermilk agave dip. Fans could chow down on the specialty items during the All-Star events Friday to Sunday.

American Express debuted its Centurion Suite at Barclays Center during All-Star Weekend. Similar to the brand's lounges in airports across the country, the Centurion Suite brings amenities like flat-screen TVs and complimentary Wi-Fi access to a sports venue. Officially opening in March, the suite features high-top tables, lounge seating, and phone charging stations, and is available to ticketed platinum card and Centurion members plus one guest.
