
Evoke and Carnival Day teamed up to design and build a giant Lite-Brite for events in the Washington area. The 4- by 8-foot piece has 2,100 peg spaces backlit by 240 individual LED lights and can come customized with a company logo. Guests interact with it by plugging in their own colored pegs.

Crowd-source images at your next event with the South Beach Photo Booth Company’s #SocialParty Instagram Photo Bar. Guests can upload images to their own Instagram accounts with a unique hashtag. The South Florida company’s Photo Bar then adds custom event branding to the photos for guests to tweet, email, and post to Facebook or print. Services are available in several locations throughout the United States, including Florida, California, and Texas.

Ka-Mil-Yin Perfume Parties

Fragrance company Ka-Mil-Yin can arrange perfume-making parties for a girlie group. Event packages include a display of glass cork-topped perfume bottles holding an array of 20 different oils to chose from, a fragrance mixologist to assist guests in creating their signature scents, and custom labels (which, for a $45 graphic design fee, can include logos).

M.A.C. Mia Moretti Collection Launch Party

On Thursday, M.A.C. Cosmetics hosted a launch party for its new Mia Moretti collection, which is inspired by Lollapalooza and festival fashion, at Fulton Market Kitchen. As guests dined, artist Blue Logan painted the scene on a large canvas set up along one wall of the dining room. BMF Media Group produced.

Ball Pit Lounge

Each year organizers create a variety of lounges where attendees can watch a simulcast of speakers. New this year was a ball pit filled with beanbag chairs and beach balls.

Toronto-based street painter David Johnston uses chalk to make realistic trompe l’oeil images at live events for brands such as 20th Century Fox, Canon, and Loblaws. He creates the seemingly 3-D scenes and objects on flat surfaces such as cement or canvas. Johnston is available for travel throughout the United States and Canada; pricing is available on request.
