'People' and Entertainment Industry Foundation's 2012 SAG Awards After-Party

Following Sunday's Screen Actors Guild awards at the Shrine in Los Angeles, People magazine and the Entertainment Industry Foundation co-hosted the official awards gala, where a custom, 100-foot-long diamond-shaped structure covered in iridescent black fabric served as the main ceiling treatment and a dramatic focal point.

History Channel’s “Swamp in the City” Experience

The History Channel’s “Swamp in the City” experience opened Thursday at New York's Chelsea Market with the cast from Swamp People. Live American alligators, red-eared slider turtles, and more than 1,000 live plans indigenous to Louisiana also set the scene for the promotion.

Lyric Opera of Chicago's "Fantasy of the Opera" Ball

The Lyric Opera of Chicago’s midwinter benefit on Saturday had a Russian theme with tropes inspired by items from the Hermitage Museum’s vast collection. Based on the museum’s famous peacock clock, Event Creative perched white birds atop crystal-embellished golden branches in the mezzanine.

Interior Design Show's Opening Night Party

At the Interior Design Show's opening night party on January 26, 5,500 guests mingled on the trade show floor in the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. A young guest experimented with the interactive Christie MicroTiles wall. When guests passed in front, patterns on the screens disappeared to reveal live video feeds of themselves. The images were projected onto 1,300 felt strips which made up Raw Design’s "StripTease" entrance installation.

P.G.A. Merchandise Show

Three video crews traveled around the exhibit hall at the P.G.A. Merchandise Show, from January 26 to 28 at Orlando's Orange County Convention Center, recording keynote addresses, fashions shows, and interviews with exhibitors. The videos were then posted on the show's Web site, on pga.com, and on golfchannel.com to give the public a glimpse inside the trade-only show—and give exhibitors exposure to a broader audience.

Jason Wu for Target Preview Party

To capture the inspiration behind the Jason Wu for Target collection, the retailer fashioned a full-scale Parisian street scene inside Skylight SoHo for a preview party in New York on January 26. A seating area set inside a French-style café offered banquettes and marble-topped tables, allowing guests to sit and chat after shopping in the boutique.

HBO's 'Luck' Screening in Las Vegas

At a party following the Las Vegas screening of HBO's new show Luck on January 26, the network stacked gaming chips printed with the show's logo on tabletops.

‘Washington Business Journal’ Book of Lists Party

Planners surprised guests at the Washington Business Journal's Book of Lists networking party on January 26 with a flash mob—clad in business attire, of course. The group performed a choreographed routine to “Dynamite” by Taio Cruz midway through the event at the National Building Museum.

Pawpurrazzi Fund-Raiser

Caricature artists drew pictures of guests and their dogs during cocktail hour at the Humane Society of Greater Miami’s annual Pawpurrazzi fund-raiser, which welcomed around 500 guests and their canine counterparts on January 20.
